Colleen Tankard

Colleen Tankard – Partner, Temp Division

Colleen heads our temporary division and she is also the administration Partner for our firm. She ensures that Legal People runs smoothly!

Prior to joining Legal People, Colleen gained extensive HR expertise within the legal profession. She was the Office Manager of a medium sized CBD law firm and prior to that was with a national law firm for seven years in the administration/accounts areas. Both firms are now a part of a leading international law firm.

Colleen joined Legal People in 1987 and was promoted to Partner in 1989. She is an individual member of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association since 1988. Colleen has completed a Graduate Course with the then known I.P.C. (Institute of Personnel Consultants), now merged with RCSA, attaining Accredited Professional – APRCSA .

With more than 20 years invaluable experience in the provision of temporary and permanent support staff in Melbourne, Colleen is well known within the industry for providing the highest calibre of candidates, professionalism and service delivery standards. In particular, Colleen has expertise in the placement of legal support staff (legal secretaries, para-legals, law clerks) and office services staff (eg. office managers, accounts staff).

In her spare time, Colleen is a qualified cook and loves baking (birthday cakes are her speciality), much to the delight of us all! She has travelled extensively, enjoys shopping, a glass of Sauvingnon Blanc with friends & family, and going to movies and theatre!
