  • About the Role
    As an experienced Abuse Lawyer (3 years +), you will be providing strategic and high-quality legal services to clients who have experienced abuse. This full-time, senior-level position will leverage your extensive expertise in personal injury and abuse law to drive successful case outcomes and support vulnerable clients through difficult legal proceedings.

    What you'll be doing
    1. Providing comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients who have experienced abuse
    2. Conducting thorough legal research, preparing briefs, and drafting complex legal documents
    3. Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court proceedings
    4. Managing a varied caseload and ensuring all client matters are progressed efficiently and effectively
    5. Mentoring and providing guidance to more junior members of the legal team
    6. Collaborating with external stakeholders, such as medical professionals, to support clients
    7. Continuously updating your knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
    What we're looking for
    1. 3+ years of post-admission experience in personal injury or abuse law, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes
    2. Demonstrated expertise in institutional abuse and child abuse cases, including an in-depth understanding of the complex legal and emotional issues involved
    3. Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner
    4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the empathy and sensitivity to work with vulnerable clients
    5. Highly organised and driven, with the ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
    6. A collaborative team player who is committed to supporting the professional development of more junior team members
