Outplacement Service
Legal People (LP) offers an outplacement service specifically designed for employees working within the legal industry.
Each outplacement program is tailored to the needs and requirements of the individual to best assist them in their career transition process and to make it as smooth as possible.
Our outplacement program includes:
✓ Up to six consultations with a LP consultant, conducted online at this time, or once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted at either yours or our offices.
✓ Initial 1:1 meeting up to one hour in duration with an LP consultant to assess individual’s needs and requirements.
✓ Access to one of three dedicated LP consultants to support your employees’ needs:
Sharon Henderson – will provide coaching for your lawyers and other professional staff
Rosie Mamic – will provide coaching to lawyers, other professional and support staff
Laine McKenzie – will provide coaching for your accounts, legal secretarial and office services staff
✓ Conduct a professional career assessment.
✓ Career counselling and advice on employment options and navigating the current employment market.
✓ Setting of career goals and objectives.
✓ Implementing a Job search/campaign plan.
✓ Ensure individual has a professional resume and covering letter tailored to their experience and skills.
✓ Interview skills training and coaching.
✓ Learning to sell/market themselves.
✓ Salary advice and discussing negotiation tips.
✓ Personality profiling/psychometric testing (optional/additional cost).
✓ An action plan to help individuals on the path to their next job.
✓ Ongoing phone contact with LP consultant to discuss any queries, etc.
The program is flexible and will be tailored to suit the needs of each individual.
Our LP consultants are experts in the legal recruitment market and well placed to provide sound advice to assist people throughout their career transition process.
Each employee will have six months from the date of their redundancy to access this outplacement service.
