In addition to our legal recruitment expertise all of us have had a past life working directly in law or other professional services firms. Our consultants are passionate about what they do – we love recruiting in law because it keeps us challenged and no day is ever the same – why else would we have stayed in the profession so long!

Legal People Recruitment Consultants are relationship driven, not KPI driven. Accordingly we work tirelessly to build long standing enduring relationships with our clients and candidates alike. We focus on understanding candidate needs and client businesses to reach quality outcomes not short term band-aid measures.

The legal market has been a candidate tight market for a very long time. Traditional means of advertising to attract candidates is rarely effective and account for less than 20% of the candidates we place in positions. Candidates rely heavily on their colleagues and friends to refer a quality recruitment consultant that will listen to their requirements and match them to their ideal role. Legal People’s past successes, time and time again, is why a big part of our candidate base is generated through our strong referral network. Many clients and candidates retain us exclusively in the search for their next role. We also work closely with our candidates to establish clear career paths and goals, so they are not just securing their next position, but also a more positive career future.

Legal People are a long standing corporate member of the Recruitment Consulting Services Association (RCSA). Recruitment agencies are not obligated to be RCSA members, but we pride ourselves in our professional conduct and integrity and abide by their code of ethics and conduct.

Legal People are proudly the sole Victorian recruitment sponsor for the Australian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA).
