    This role involves general litigation work in Torts, Common Law, Personal Injury, Coronial Inquests and Administrative Law and a rare opportunity to work alongside highly experienced and respected practitioners whilst representing government bodies in litigation matters and undertaking court and tribunal work.

    Duties
    Your portfolio will involve government, health, personal injury and compensation, prosecutions, public law, Royal Commissions, statutory interpretation, dispute resolution and litigation matters, with responsibilities including:-
    • Independently conduct litigation files
    • Draft written advice and recommendations
    • Instruct and brief  Barristers
    • Oversee  and mentor staff (lawyers and non-legal)
    • Collaborate  on tenders (where required)
    • Manage  time recording, budgets and files with accuracy and diligence
    Skills and experience
    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' PAE in litigation (Torts, Common Law, Personal Injury, Coronial, Administrative, Commercial Litigation) and demonstrated experience in managing litigation cases. 

    You will also be able to demonstrate:-

    • Excellent organisation and communication skills with a client-focused approach
    • Ability to manage your own matters with a proactive approach 
    • Genuine enjoyment undertaking a diverse workload with a variety of supervising principals 
    • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills 
    • Willingness to support and mentor less experienced team members
    • Solid IT and technical skills (e.g. using eDiscovery platforms)
    • Good commercial and financial acumen with effective business development skills
    • Strong analytical, interpretation and problem-solving abilities
