Conveyancer (In-House role | 4 or 5 days)

  • About our client...
    Our client is a well-regarded and established Melbourne-based Property Development and Investment Business with offices conveniently located in the CBD.  An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancer to join their friendly and welcoming team.

    About the role...
    In this role, you will work closely with our client’s commercial team, purchasers and financiers, to provide conveyancing support on contracts of sale, settlements and associated documentation, including: 
    • Manage conveyancing matters end-to-end from instruction to settlement;
    • Preparing contracts of sale, vendor’s statements and transfer documents;
    • Coordinate with agents, financiers, legal representatives and stakeholders;
    • Correspondence in relation to settlements;
    • Calculate settlement figures and coordinate electronic settlements via PEXA;
    • Use LEAP to manage workflows and maintain accurate records;
    • Maintain trust receipt records and manage trust-related transactions; and
    • Use Microsoft Excel for file tracking, calculations, and reporting.
       
    Skills and experience we'd love...
    To secure this fantastic In-house opportunity, you must be an experienced conveyancer including:
    • minimum 8 years’ conveyancing experience in private practice or in-house;
    • Strong understanding of Victorian conveyancing procedures;
    • Proficient in LEAP and PEXA;
    • Ability to manage files autonomously and meet deadlines;
    • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills;
    • Confident using Excel and handling trust accounting requirements;
    • Practical, hands-on approach and ability to work collaboratively within a broader team;
    • Proactive, organised and outcomes-focused
    • Able to build trusted relationships with both internal stakeholders and external parties
    • Calm and measured under pressure, with a solutions-oriented mindset
