  • About the role
    Join a leading Corporate Advisory Team as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel and take a lead role in delivering complex Private M&A transactions, with exposure to Public M&A and ECM matters.

    You will advise public and private clients across diverse sectors on acquisitions, disposals, capital raisings, joint ventures, structuring and governance, while navigating cross-border investments and Corporations Act requirements. Working closely with Partners, you will drive transactions from strategy through to completion, managing key workstreams, leading negotiations, mentoring junior lawyers and building strong client relationships.

    This role offers the opportunity to actively shape and grow your practice within a high-performing and commercially focused team. You will contribute to business development initiatives, deepen sector expertise, expand networks and strengthen client engagement across Australia and overseas.

    Skills & experience
    Ideally, you will:
    • Have 5+ years’ PAE in a reputable corporate and commercial practice, with solid exposure to transactional work
    • Demonstrate strong technical capability paired with sharp commercial judgement
    • Be proactive, ambitious and solutions-focused, with the confidence to lead matters and build trusted client relationships
    • Communicate with clarity and impact — both written and verbal
    • Show initiative in contributing to business development and mentoring junior lawyers
    • Bring strong academic credentials (credit average or above preferred)
    • Manage competing priorities effectively while thriving in a collaborative, high-performing team culture
