  • About the role
    Take on a dynamic role as an Employment Lawyer in a supportive and collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, highly organised practitioner ideally at Associate/Senior Associate level, ready to take ownership of employment law matters.

    In this close-knit employment team, you’ll work alongside a highly regarded Partner and play an integral role in delivering high-quality work across a diverse range of employment matters.

    Duties
    You will work across a broad range of sectors and industries including but not limited to aged care, hospitality, retail, property, construction, local councils, government entities, education providers, finance advisors, healthcare/pharmaceutical and not for profit.

    In this role you will: 
    • Draft employment and contractor agreements and interpret awards and enterprise agreements.
    • Advise on compliance with workplace legislation, privacy obligations, and employee entitlements.
    • Manage workplace disputes, including resolution strategies and commercial proceedings.
    • Guide employers through discrimination, equal opportunity, performance management, and conduct issues.
    • Oversee termination and redundancy processes to ensure lawful and effective outcomes.
    Skills & experience
    Ideally you will have:
    • Solid employment law experience at Associate/Senior Associate level .
    • Strong service mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
    • Exceptional communication and time-management skills.
    • Sharp attention to detail and polished drafting capability.
    • Confident multitasker with the ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Ability to work autonomously while contributing strongly to a collaborative team.
