    About the role

    A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lawyer to join our client’s Corporate & Commercial team. Suited to a 5+ year PAE commercial lawyer , this role offers broad, hands-on exposure to complex corporate and commercial matters within a high-performing, collaborative and well-supported legal team.

    Duties
    In this role you will:
    • Provide expert legal advice on high-risk commercial, compliance, and regulatory matters.
    • Drive strategic projects by assessing legal risk, shaping decisions, and recommending appropriate actions.
    • Draft or negotiate bespoke and amended agreements to enable timely, compliant execution.
    • Design and deliver corporate and commercial law education, templates and guidance to uplift internal capability.
    • Monitor and interpret legislative change, translating impacts into clear, actionable advice for the business.
    • Manage stakeholder relationships and legal workflows
    • Maintain accurate records, balancing team capacity, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to their professional growth and development.
    Skills & experience
    You are an admitted lawyer with 5+years PAE Commercial law experience , who is eager to grow in a supportive, purpose-driven legal team. You bring:
    • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders
    • A high level of attention to detail and sound problem-solving ability
    • Good time management and organisational skills
    • A collaborative and professional approach, with the ability to work under supervision
    • A commitment to child safety and the values of Integrity, Respect, and Excellence
    About our client
    Our client owns and operates approximately 300 schools in and around Melbourne. Their Corporate Legal team is based in the Melbourne head office situated in the inner CBD and close to public transport.
