- Advise on complex civil litigation matters, including historical abuse and personal injury claims, aligning strategy with organisational priorities
- Lead case strategy, coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all court processes, including filings, mediations, and trials
- Identify and mitigate legal risks, providing clear and actionable advice to senior management
- Monitor legislative developments and assess their impact on operations
- Develop and deliver internal guidance, templates, and training to enhance stakeholder capability
- Mentor, support, and collaborate with junior members of the Negligence and Redress team
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience , gained either in a respected law firm or an in-house legal team
- Substantial experience in civil litigation and dispute resolution, including historical abuse claims, personal injury matters, and other complex disputes , with a strong understanding of risk, compliance, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to deliver pragmatic, high-quality legal advice, engaging effectively with operational teams and senior stakeholders to achieve clear, strategic outcomes.
- The capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, with the potential to supervise and coach more junior legal counsel
