Duties
In this role you will:
- Advise on complex employment, workplace, and industrial disputes and litigation, supporting strategic organisational decisions.
- Ensure compliance with court and procedural obligations, including filing of defences, discovery, interrogatories, mediation, trial preparation, and other interlocutory steps.
- Assess claims and risks early, developing strategies to achieve timely resolution while prioritising child safety.
- Deliver clear, practical briefings and legal updates to support informed management decisions.
- Develop templates, resources, and training to strengthen internal capability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and legal team members, maintaining accurate records and supporting high-quality outcomes.
You are an admitted lawyer with 5+years PAE Workplace and Employment law experience , who is eager to grow in a supportive, purpose-driven legal team. You bring:
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders
- A high level of attention to detail and sound problem-solving ability
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A collaborative and professional approach, with the ability to work under supervision
- A commitment to child safety and the values of Integrity, Respect, and Excellence
