They are now looking for an experienced, highly regarded lawyer to lead delivery of their Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) in Victoria, joining the national leadership team of Heads of Program and Engagement. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role in legal education—while staying closely connected to the profession you value.
About the role
Working in collaboration with the Director of Education Delivery, your primary roles will be to contribute to practical legal training, development and coaching of trainees (practice supervision and direct teaching), develop education and training programs and administer said programs as required.
As such, key responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to):-
The successful candidate must have a tertiary qualification in Law, a current practising Certificate . Masters level qualification and/or Education/Training qualifications (bachelor level or above) will be considered favourably.

- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of legal educators
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of the GDLP, ensuring it meets the highest professional and educational standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the Victorian legal sector, including firms, courts, and professional bodies
- Contribute to national strategy, innovation, and ongoing program improvement
- Collaborate with Director of Education Delivery and other staff in development of new education and training methods; and
- Utilise technology to deliver teaching and mentoring services
The successful candidate must have a tertiary qualification in Law, a current practising Certificate . Masters level qualification and/or Education/Training qualifications (bachelor level or above) will be considered favourably.
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate:-
- Minimum of 5 years legal practice experience (ideally civil litigation, commercial & corporate, property, criminal or taxation)
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior practitioners
- Experience teaching and assessing adult learners (Higher Education and/or TAFE) highly regarded
- Proven ability to develop and implement systems and procedures to guide work and track progress
- Skills and knowledge of online learning programs (blended learning) highly regarded
- Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of a team
- Well-developed interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
