About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to kick-start their career as a Legal Administration Assistant with a highly regarded family law firm. In this role, you’ll provide administrative support to a team of Solicitors and Paralegals, assist with Reception duties, and benefit from ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development in a supportive team environment.
Duties
Some of your duties will include, but not limited to;
- opening new files
- editing & amending legal documents
- mail collection and distribution
- monthly preparation of client bills
- attending to photocopying, scanning and sorting documents and correspondence for the team
- answer overflow telephone calls for the team
- liaison with clients and other parties
- archiving and closing of files
- relief reception
- other general administrative duties as required to assist the team
Ideally you will have:
- 6 to 12 months' previous experience working in an office environment
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Completion of a Certificate in Legal Business Administration or similar qualification (highly regarded)
- Friendly and flexible team attitude
- Genuine willingness to learn and grow within the role
