  • About the role
    Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will work autonomously to help support the General Counsel in managing a broad portfolio of legal, regulatory, and governance matters. This role is integral to the firm's internal legal operations and risk management requiring a strong understanding of law firm practices, regulatory frameworks and ethical standards.

    Duties

    As a highly skilled, proactive and  trusted legal advisor , your main responsibilities are:-

    • Advise on governance, legal structures, partnerships, and commercial agreements.
    • Manage litigation, employment disputes, FOI requests, and subpoenas.
    • Oversee risk, insurance portfolios, claims handling, and policy renewals.
    • Draft and review contracts, support procurement, and lead tender processes.
    • Lead on compliance, privacy, AML, modern slavery, audits, and legal training.
    About you
    To be successful in this role you will:- 
    • Bring  circa 4-6 years' PAE, ideally in a law firm or corporate legal department. You will have experience in corporate commercial, mergers & acquisitions and/or commercial litigation.
    • Demonstrate expertise in compliance, legal operations, and professional standards.
    • Apply experience across litigation, digital, commercial, and contract law.
    • Utilise strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills to influence outcomes.
    • Showcase attention to detail, tech-savviness, and a commitment to excellence.
