    Our client is a leading commercial law firm conveniently located in Melbourne’s CBD valued equally by its clients and staff. Due to their Property & Development Group's growth and success, they are seeking to appoint a Practice Group Manager to optimise its legal support services.
      
    About the role…
    In this dynamic and ‘hands on’ role, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

    • Legal Support Management : manage the legal support staff, recruitment, rosters, workloads & performance
    • Practice Group support : act as first point of contact, collaborate with Group Lead to manage fee earners, learning and development, legal software management, invoicing & costing of files
    • Liaison to Business Services : including Finance (e.g. time sheets, matter estimates), People & Culture (e.g. staffing, onboarding), Risk & Legal (e.g. information owner for Group's security management system) and Business Development (e.g. tenders) 
    About you…
    To be successful in this role you  MUST have previous experience within a Property & Development department as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal at a mid to large-sized firm .
      
    You will also be able to demonstrate:
    • Broad knowledge of a Property & Development practice
    • Minimum 3-4 years' supervisory/management experience
    • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
    • Experience with CaseFlow and FileSite (or equivalent), as well as PEXA
    • Client-centred approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-drive and accountability 
    • Ability to anticipate and solve both operational and strategic issues
    • Team oriented and solutions-focussed attitude
