    About the role
    This role supports the Practice Group Leader by leading key administrative functions, coordinating legal support and acting as the go-to liaison between the Practice Group and Business Services.

    Duties
    In this role your duties will include, but not be limited to:

    • Legal Assistant Responsibilities : provide high-level assistance to the Practice Group Leader including file and document management, Counsel coordination, court preparation, billing, timesheets, client liaison, travel bookings, and administrative tasks with a strong focus on confidentiality and information security.
    • Practice Group Operations : support the Practice Group Leader with credit card and expense reconciliation, coordinate meetings, coordinate leave approvals, CPD tracking, events, diary coordination, and prepare annual financial audits.
    • Legal Support Coordination : oversee legal support operations including team resourcing, rostering, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and workload allocation.
    • Business Services Liaison : act as key contact for Business Services on timesheets, matter estimates, tender resourcing, document systems, change management, and office logistics to ensure smooth Practice Group operations.
    Skills & experience
    Ideally, you will have:
    • 5+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant (in a litigation or litigation-oriented team).
    • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, with experience using iManage (or a similar document management system).
    • Client-centred approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-drive and accountability.
    • Ability to anticipate and solve both operational and strategic issues.
    • Team oriented and solutions-focussed attitude.
    • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
