  • About the role
    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Lawyer to join a leading national commercial law firm. Based in the heart of Melbourne CBD, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of property-related matters. Whether it's negotiating commercial lease agreements, advising on property development projects, or handling conveyancing transactions, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.

    What you'll be doing
    1. Drafting and negotiating commercial and residential property contracts, including leases, sales, and purchases
    2. Providing guidance on property development and investment strategies
    3. Handling conveyancing transactions, including title searches, contract preparation, and settlement procedures
    4. Advising on property-related tax and regulatory compliance matters
    5. Collaborating with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient property transactions
    6. Staying up-to-date with changes in property law and industry best practices 
    What we're looking for
    1. Minimum 4 years of experience in property law, including major developments, projects & leasing (ideally mid-tier or specialist firm background)
    2. Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor legal documents to meet clients' needs
    3. Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language
    4. Proven track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
    5. Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team
