About the role
This is a busy role within the firm’s Insurance & Compensation practice, ideal for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate defendant personal injury lawyer, ideally with VWA panel experience , to advise on serious injury, common law claims, and appeals.

Duties
In this role you will:

• Manage originating motions, damages, and statutory benefits litigation
• Gather and assess evidence to support case strategy
• Draft high-quality briefs and legal documentation
• Prepare and advocate at mediations and court proceedings
• Liaise directly with clients and handle end-to-end file management
• Mentor and support junior colleagues within the team

• 3+ years’ experience in Defendant or Plaintiff WorkCover matters
• The ability to manage your own matters with a proactive, 'can do' attitude
• A genuine enjoyment of busy workloads and strong client engagement
• The willingness to support and mentor less experienced team members
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with a client-focused approach
