  • About the role
    This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing team as a Workplace Relations & Safety Lawyer. In this full-time role based in the Melbourne CBD, you will provide expert advice and guidance on a range of workplace relations and occupational health and safety matters to our diverse client base across various industries.

    What you'll be doing
    • Advising clients on all aspects of workplace relations, including employment contracts, workplace policies, and awards/agreements
    • Providing strategic support on workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, and managing complex employee relations issues
    • Representing clients in industrial tribunals and courts on matters such as unfair dismissals, general protections claims, and industrial disputes
    • Conducting training and workshops for clients on relevant workplace laws and best practices
    • Staying up-to-date with changes in employment and OHS legislation to ensure clients remain compliant
    • Collaborating with the broader legal team to deliver seamless, end-to-end support to clients 
    What we're looking for
    • 5+ years of experience as a workplace relations or employment lawyer, ideally within a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team
    • Demonstrated expertise in navigating the full spectrum of workplace relations and OHS issues
    • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into plain English
    • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
    • Tertiary qualifications in law and admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia
