Duties
In this role, you will:-
- Advise and act on a wide variety of stimulating, complex and interesting litigation matters
- Work autonomously alongside highly experienced Partners on matters involving contractual disputes, advisory work, pre-litigation strategy, pleadings, evidence preparation, interlocutory applications, mediation and court appearances
- Draft and prepare correspondence, advice, affidavits, witness statements, briefs to counsel and court documents
- Develop and provide litigation strategy and practical, commercial and client-focused solutions
- Support &/or instruct at mediations, settlement negotiations and court proceedings
- Contribute to a collaborative, hardworking and high-performing team environment
Skills & experience
The ideal candidate will have:-
- 3-5 years' PQE in commercial litigation matters
- Exposure to insurance, defamation, employment matters/disputes (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused and client-centric approach
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Willingness to contribute to team growth and share knowledge
- Ability to work effectively in a relaxed yet professional environment
- Sound technical ability with excellent drafting and analytical skills
- Proven ability to network and market with the view to generating clients
