  • About the role
    Step into a broad and varied role as a Commercial Property & General Commercial Lawyer (4+ years PAE) , joining a well-regarded boutique CBD firm offering quality work, direct client exposure and genuine opportunities for professional development.
      
    Working across both commercial property and general commercial matters, you’ll manage transactions from start to finish, work closely with clients and gain exposure to sophisticated property developments, leasing, business transactions, structuring and corporate advisory work.
      
    You’ll be supported by experienced senior practitioners who will provide ongoing mentoring and guidance, giving you the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise, commercial acumen and career within the firm.
       
    Duties
    In this role, you will:
    • Manage commercial property acquisitions and disposals, including large-scale sales and purchases
    • Advise on property development matters, including subdivisions and off-the-plan developments
    • Handle commercial leasing matters
    • Act on business sales and purchases, from initial negotiations through to completion
    • Advise clients on a range of general commercial and corporate matters (e.g. property developer JVs, shareholder agreements, corporate governance, loans, etc)
    • Draft contracts, agreements, advices and associated documentation    
    Skills & experience
    Ideally you will have:
    • 4+ years’ PAE across commercial property and general commercial law
    • Solid experience in commercial leasing, property development and substantial commercial property sales and acquisitions
    • Exposure to commercial and corporate advisory matters
    • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, together with a sound understanding of commercial transactions
    • Clear, professional communication skills and a strong client service focus
    • A genuine interest in continuing to develop your technical skills and progress your career with the support of experienced mentors
