  • About the role
    Join a highly regarded Corporate & Commercial team where you will specialise in construction, infrastructure and projects.  This hands-on role offers exposure to complex procurement and construction work across multiple industry sectors, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on procurement and project delivery models, preparing tender and contract documentation, and assisting with claims management. You'll also contribute to business development, mentor junior lawyers and play an active role in the ongoing success of this growing practice.

    Duties
    Your responsibilities will include:
    • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and related documentation.
    • Advising owners, contractors and government clients on major projects, infrastructure, procurement and construction matters.
    • Advising on procurement models, including construction, relationship contracting, operation and maintenance agreements, and related project documentation.
    • Drafting standard form tendering and contract documentation.
    • Assisting clients with claims management.
    • Contributing to business development, marketing initiatives and legal precedents.
    • Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and graduates and contributing to learning and development programs.
    Skills & experience
    To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:
    • 4+ years' PAE.
    • Demonstrated experience advising on procurement projects, ideally across infrastructure, construction or property, although broader procurement and contracting experience will also be considered.
    • Excellent drafting skills and strong attention to detail.
    • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
    • Experience contributing to business development, marketing initiatives and client engagement.
    • The ability to work independently while building strong relationships within a collaborative team environment.
