What you'll be doing
- Advising clients on a wide range of family law matters, including Financial Agreements, Property Settlements, Divorce, Spousal Maintenance, Intervention Orders (IVOs), Child Support, de facto & same-sex relationships, and surrogacy and complex parenting matters
- Drafting and reviewing a wide range of legal documents
- Representing clients in court proceedings
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism
- Contributing to the growth and development of the firm
- Minimum of 3+ years PAE as a Family Lawyer, with a strong understanding of family law legislation and court processes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and complex legal matters with compassion
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with experience in representing clients in court proceedings
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to provide sound legal advice and solutions
- A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and a track record of building long-term client relationships
- L.I.V. Specialist Family Law Accreditation, or a strong desire to pursue accreditation, will be highly regarded
