Join a highly regarded Australian operated insurance company in a broad and hands-on Risk & Compliance role within its established Risk & Governance team.
Working closely with the Head of Compliance and Customer Resolution, you will play an integral role in enhancing and maintaining the organisation’s compliance management framework, managing compliance risk and ensuring the business continues to meet its legislative and regulatory obligations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional who enjoys working across the business, providing practical advice and taking ownership of key compliance initiatives.

Your role will include (but not be limited to)
- Supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of the compliance management framework
- Advising on regulatory obligations, compliance risk, incidents and breach assessments
- Managing compliance incidents, breach reporting, remediation and rectification activities
- Conducting compliance reviews and preparing reports, recommendations and management actions
- Supporting quarterly Board reporting and preparing correspondence, submissions and policies
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, external partners and regulators including ASIC and APRA
- Mentoring and coaching internal team members
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4–5 years' risk and compliance experience, ideally within financial services with an understanding of the regulatory environment and insurance industry
- A Bachelor of Laws or other relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience with compliance incidents, breaches, monitoring and regulatory obligations
- Excellent written communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and manage competing priorities
- Contributing to compliance monitoring, projects and continuous improvement initiatives
