Legal Assistant - Family Law

This role supports a Partner and their team of junior to senior-level lawyers where you will enjoy a good mix of managing day-to-day schedules and workflows, "hands-on" involvement with family law matters and liaising with clients and external parties. The team environment is fast-paced and well structured, making this the ideal role for an experienced and proactive family law legal assistant who thrives in busy environment and excels at keeping the wheels turning on a well-run machine!

Duties
Some of your responsibilities will include:-
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Family Law legal secretary and will also be able to demonstrate:-

Duties
Some of your responsibilities will include:-
- manage diaries and emails
- draft or prepare legal documents, correspondence and court documents (mainly through Word Processing, dictation only as needed)
- manage files (opening, closing and archiving / scanning and filing documents)
- liaise with clients and other stakeholders (telephone and email)
- E-filing and indexing original legal documents
- billing
- general administrative tasks (e.g. photocopying, scanning)
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Family Law legal secretary and will also be able to demonstrate:-
- advanced MS Word and solid general IT skills
- excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills
- ability to work in fast-paced environments and prioritise tasks effectively
- adaptable and friendly team attitude
- initiative, attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- strong client-focus and well-developed relationship management skills
