  • About the role
    Join a leading mid-sized commercial law firm, in excess of 380 staff, in this strategic leadership role, where you will lead the firm's People & Culture strategy and partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Board and senior stakeholders. You will drive workforce transformation, organisational effectiveness and a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned with the firm's long-term strategy.

    As the People & Culture Director you will oversee organisational capability, workforce planning, remuneration and benefits, executive leadership development, complex people matter management, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and the leadership of the People & Culture team with 10 direct reports.

    Duties
    Your responsibilities will include:
    • Leading the firm's People & Culture strategy to support organisational objectives.
    • Driving workforce planning, organisational capability, succession planning and leadership development.
    • Leading the firm's remuneration and benefits strategy and providing recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
    • Providing strategic People & Culture advice on workforce transformation, organisational risk and complex people matters.
    • Leading the firm's psychosocial hazards strategy and overseeing complex employee relations matters.
    • Participating in the Operations Committee and DEI Committee, while leading the People & Culture team and ensuring employment law and ISO 27001 compliance.
    Skills & experience
    To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:
    • HR degree or equivalent.
    • Minimum 5+ years' HR leadership experience , within legal &/or professional services including experience in a partnership model is essential .
    • Experience in workforce strategy, organisational capability, employment relations and organisational design.
    • Strong leadership capability across talent management, succession planning and culture.
    • Executive stakeholder management, commercial acumen, governance and compliance experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to build strong working relationships.
