Duties
In this role, you will:
- Act on complex tax litigation and dispute resolution matters.
- Provide taxation advice on an interesting mix of taxation matters, including income and capital gains tax, M&A transactions, financing transactions, due diligence, and trusts.
- Be responsible for managing reviews, audits and litigation conducted by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
- Draft high-quality legal advice and other technical documentation.
- Work closely with Partners and clients to develop effective tax strategies and outcomes.
- 4+ years' PAE in taxation law.
- Previous tax disputes or taxation litigation experience will be highly regarded.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding drafting, communication and client relationship management abilities.
- A collaborative approach and genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers.
- Candidates with a taxation background gained in a leading accounting or professional services firm are also encouraged to apply.
