The Role
As a key member of the team, you'll work across a broad range of advisory and contentious matters, including:
- Advising on employment contracts, workplace policies, performance management and terminations
- Representing clients in disputes before the Fair Work Commission, Federal Court and relevant State tribunals
- Assisting with enterprise bargaining, industrial strategy and union engagement
- Advising on workplace health and safety investigations, incident response and regulatory matters
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
- Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:
- 5-7 years' PAE gained within a reputable employment and workplace relations practice (relevant in-house experience will also be considered)
- Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A genuine commitment to outstanding client service
- Experience mentoring junior lawyers, or a strong interest in developing others
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for ongoing learning and development
